The usual causes are the structuring method, chart style and time-correction convention. Chai Bu follows the actual solar term and uses the leading day to fix the Yuan. Zhi Run preserves the three-Yuan sequence through intercalation, while Mao Shan divides the days of each solar term directly. Rotating and Flying charts also distribute Stars, Doors and Deities differently. Guanyitang uses Hourly Rotating Qi Men, defaults to Chai Bu and lets you select Zhi Run or Mao Shan. Door Constrained means the element of a Door controls the element of the palace it occupies, so the Door expends its own strength. Six Yi Punishment occurs when Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren or Gui falls into the palace that punishes the branch of its hidden Jia. Both can indicate friction, loss or internal strain, but neither should be read apart from the focal symbol, seasonal strength, Void, other formations and the actual question. They are better used to identify resistance and prepare contingencies than treated as an unavoidable verdict.
